How it's used
RMC works a relationship through the six human needs made explicit. The coach lists the needs, has each partner rank them, takes each person’s top two and the vehicles they use to meet them, then has each grade 0–10 how well the partner helps meet those needs — and rate themselves. The near-zero scores become a visible model of the relationship that is then improved item by item. Six guiding questions frame the work: who is taking certainty and significance; how can each lay down their weapons; what needs are unmet; how are those needs met outside the couple; how can they give to each other; how can they commit?
