What
The Precision Model (based on the NLP Meta Model) is a questioning grid that recovers the specific experience hidden behind vague language. Client statements systematically delete, distort and generalise: 'nobody respects me', 'I can't', 'it's impossible'. Precision questions bring back what the sentence lost.
What for
Surface deletions, distortions, generalizations.
How it's used
The coach challenges the form of the statement, not the person: 'Nobody? Who specifically?' — 'What would happen if you did?' — 'Impossible, or haven't found a way yet?' Each answer makes the problem smaller and more concrete, until a vague wall becomes a specific, solvable situation. Used with rapport it feels like genuine curiosity; used mechanically it feels like interrogation — dosage matters.

Deletions: 'I'm scared' → 'of what, specifically?' Generalisations: 'always', 'never', 'nobody' → 'every single time?' Distortions: 'he makes me angry' → 'how exactly does that work?' Modal operators: 'I can't' → 'what stops you?' / 'what would happen if you did?' Effect: vague, unsolvable problems become concrete, solvable ones
