Peer Group
L5 Micro-InterventionsWho you're around is who you become
What
Peer group design as conditioning: deliberately surrounding the client with people who model and expect the new identity. Proximity is the strongest long-term conditioning force — standards, emotional habits and beliefs assimilate to the people one spends most time with.
What for
The most powerful long-term social conditioning.
How it's used
After identity-level change, coach and client audit the client's proximity: who are the five people closest to daily life, and do they reinforce the old identity or the new one? Then the design work: seek rooms where the new identity is normal, build relationships with people ahead on the path, and manage (not necessarily cut) relationships that pull backwards — with conscious boundaries and reduced exposure. The client learns to treat proximity as a decision, not an accident.
